Gdm3/Gnome has a lot of changes on the desktop.
I prefer the lighter DT (lightdm/lxdm), but since I am doing this
for the larger group - I need to know what most prefer.
The latest version builds on Debian9 stretch.
Also the menu is cluttered with lots of stuff in pinguy,
what is actually needed and what can go away? What do you use most?

Xfce is my favorite desktop and LXDM my favorite login/display manager.
