I have completed the alpha version of SysBuilder.
It is a work in progress but a great tool for the beginner that
does not want to spend the time to learn what is involved in
building a system but is in small enough chunks that you can
learn the concepts very quickly if wanted.
It will allow you to build a base system at this time.
Working on adding the code to customize the system to include
packages that you want.
Requires:
1. a disk partition to build the new system on ( I use a 32G USB stick)
A. You can build directly to a hd partition if you have the space.
2. Takes about 2 days to run to completion on my laptop.
A. It has restart capabilities but I have a few undocumented features (bugs) there.
3. Kinda minty feeling at completion - this may change.
4. Allows you to select desktop at runtime. I have MATE working well. Working on
KFCE, KDE, and Gnome.
Will upload and make available this week - I hope.
Need testers - any takers?
Sure hope I am not wasting my time.
